Dear Children,
I believe in you.
I love it when you believe in me.
But I don’t need believers.
Why would I possibly need believers?
G*d is psychologically healthy.
Some people don’t believe in themselves.
They feel lonely and alone.
They need others to fill the “holes in their souls.”
They need other people to believe in them.
Not Me.
I believe in Myself.
I am that I am and who I am.
And I believe in you. Even when you don’t.
G*d cares about what matters.
Whether you believe in Me does not matter.
What you do does matter.
Whether or not you love your neighbor—that matters.
Whether or not you love your enemies—that matter.
Whether you forgive those who do you wrong—that matters.
Whether you seek truth—that matters.
Whether you tell lies—that matters.
Whether you believe I exist—that doesn’t matter.
Why would it matter?
Why would it matter to G*d whether someone believes G*d exists?
Why would it matter to G*d if someone believed in a different G*d.
They can’t actually. All true G*ds are the same G*d.
How would it matter if someone didn’t believe in Me?
What would it change?
I am.
I am whether you believe I am or not.
(And if I don’t exist. What does it matter?)
What do you believe in?
Do you believe in truth? Do you believe in love? Do you believe in honesty? Do you believe in knowledge?
Those things matter.
If you don’t believe in them, you’ve got some big problems.
I suggest you get help.
But if you believe in truth, love, honesty, and knowledge then guess what? You believe in Me.
Because that is what I am.
Some people disagree.
Of course, some people disagree.
They say G*d is a character in a story written thousands of years ago.
They say G*d is small enough to fit in the pages of a book.
They’s wrong.
You might believe them.
You might think they are right.
They’ve told you for years.
You never thought otherwise.
They told you when you were a child, before you could think.
A lot of people agree.
Sorry. They’re wrong.
Think for yourself.
I gave you a mind. A mind like my own Mind.
Use it.
Think.
They can tell you what I am and I am not.
But you don’t have to believe them.
Have a high opinion of yourself.
Think for yourself.
Have a high opinion of yourself.
I have a high opinion of you.
Even if you don’t believe in Me, even if you believe in some other G*d, I believe in Me and I believe in you.
Love,
G*d
